Norfolk Highways have announced the closure of the roundabout on Guardian Rd/Dereham Rd along with most of Sweet Briar Rd to vehicles for five days from Monday 28th May.
Part of the plan to reduce the impact on local streets is to prevent access to, or from, Hotblack Rd at the lights on Dereham Rd. While we welcome these efforts, we have concerns about the impact on neighbouring streets, particularly Turner Rd, Northumberland St and Nelson St.
To address these and other traffic concerns we will be holding a public meeting with councillors and hopefully the engineers at 7.30pm on 22nd May at the Community Centre on Hotblack Rd – please do come along to get you questions answered and grievances aired.
